My life in Canada

Last year, in 2011, I went to Canada to study English.
I am writing this post because it is almost one year since I went there. I miss my homestay family and friends that I met there. I hope that I can go there again.

Minecraft

Hi, I am Robin who is writing this post from my house! This is the first post that I am writing after coming back from GLPS! Boy, I wish that we could have stayed for some more days! I miss back at Minsa High School, and I miss us class 10, who were very good friends at there.

Chain Writing, James the mind reader.

Once upon a time, there was a boy named James, and he was a normal boy, but he was almost a normal boy, not exact one. He was a little different with his friends, or other boys. He was a mind reader.

Almost always, when James met a new friend or people, James read their mind. But, even though James could read everyone's mind, it was not on purpose. When James walked right up to a person and looked into their eyes, he could just listen to it, even though he didn't want to or wasn't planning to. So, when James was young, he never looked into anyone's eyes, so he wasn't able to read or listen to people's minds, but he never had a friend, and students and kids in the school hated him.

When James got older, his power was doubled. When he was very young, he could read people's mind if he looked into their eyes, and he was able to read or listen what they were thinking at that exact moments, but now, he was able to read or listen to their minds when he just looked at them, and he could even watch their past, lives, and about every information in their brain, so James became a brain reader. He never looked at anyone after that time, except for times when he was having a big test, and got stuck.

After a year, James turned thirteen ears old, and he tried to control his power, and after a training for a few months, he could control his power. Now, he never read anyone's mind except for sometimes, when he had to use his power. When he could control his power, James enjoyed his young life, by hanging around wit his friends, (after controlling power, he made lots of new friends.) and studying hard.

One day, James was walking at the hallway of his school, and he accidentally bumped into the school bully. James looked at him, and he figured out that the guy was pretty angry by reading his mind, (but even though if he didn't read his mind, James could see  that in his ugly face, which got the whole uglier.) and he wished that he could erase the bully's memory when he bumped into him. Then, the school bully suddenly seemed really confused, and he looked around, and walked away, without saying anything. So, James figured out that he can erase people's memories, as he could read their mind. After that time, he helped the kids who got in trouble by teachers, or a bully, by simply erasing the teacher's or bully's memory. James realized how great his power was, and he started to reinforce his power.

Ode. Dear Love

You can be very big, and you might not exist in somebody's life, but you are in everyone's head. You can be very powerful, or you can be very weak. You are one of the feelings that people need. You can make people change, or you cannot make people change. You give people the purpose of life, or you can take away the purpose of life.
You are powerful, and you can give people power. You can encourage people to do something, or you can discourage people. In the past, I felt very light if I see you, but now I feel nothing.
If I see you now, I feel pain, discouragement, hate, and no happiness. Without you, nothing makes me smile, and anything, everything gives me pain. My peaceful world is gone with you, and I have almost nothing left now.
I was doing my best for you, but you had just left. You are far away from me, but maybe you are also close to me. I wish you haven't left me. I need you, and I wish that you will come back to me. The pain caused by you gave me the scar that is more serious than physical damage, and the scar will not be erased easily. The scar made by you remains in my past, before you left me in the harsh and cruel world. I miss you, and I need you to come back to me, and give my purpose of life again.

Reflective video, 'What children can teach adults.'

In today's world, in every school the teachers are teaching the students. If you are in anywhere on earth, you can also see adults teaching something to the children.


But, nobody or just small number of people would see children teaching adults. Now, you can have a question, 'Why people always think that there are nothing that children can teach adults, or there are just few things that children can teach to adults?'

In this video, I saw that not only adults can be teachers in this world. I think this video is saying that we children can teach adults, as adults are teaching us. After watching this video, I thought lots of people's thoughts would have changed. At first, they could have thought that children cannot teach adults almost nothing, but after watching this video, lots of people will think that children can teach adults, too.
I was living Robin Lee's life for twelve ears, and I taught lots of things to adults. I taught my parents what I am good at, what I like to eat or do, or not, and they will learn about that. For example, I like spicy things, so when I eat ramen, I always put all of the sauce in. My parents are good at cooking, so sometimes my parents makes me ramen. They learned that I like spicy things, so they always make it very spicy for me. Did you like this example? Anyway, this story of my own life can tell you that there are lots of things that we children can teach our parents, or adults. Anyone, or anything have their own ability to teach other people, or things. There are so many things that we can learn from children, and I cannot figure out some of the things, but not only adults has the ability to teach other, so I think that lots and lots of children can teach adults by their own way.
I will tell you some more reasons that children can teach adults. I think children is more creative than adults. Because, children can imagine of lots of things, and they have more imagination. By their imagination, they can be more creative, so they can teach what they imagined, or about their new good ideas.
Now, I will summarize what I was telling you. In life, anyone can teach anything to anyone. So, even though you are not a famous professor of a famous university, you can teach anything you know, or anything you like. So, I mean that even though we are not adults, we can teach them. Also, adults should not have the prejudice that children cannot teach anything to adults, or there are so little things that children can teach to adults, because any children in this world has anything to teach, and they can teach those things to adults.
After watching this video, I learned some lessons that might be helpful for my future. First, in life, there are so many things that we can learn from children, and children have to have the right to teach other people, or teach adults what they can teach them. So, people should not think that children cannot teach anything to adults, and they have to accept that there are things that childrens can teach them, and that children can have better thinking.

Kony 2012

Joseph Kony is a man who made kind, and smart kids into an army, and there are over thirty thousand kids in this army, and they are ordered to kill their own parents. If the children try to escape, Joseph Kony kills the child who tried to escape. This April, a man named Jason Russell showed his video, called Kony 2012, to the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc. In the video, he says Joseph Kony has to be stopped, and we must stop him by making him famous. Right now, there is a group called the Invisible Children, and their purpose is to stop Joseph Kony by making him famous, and they are trying to persuade us to send few dollars a month to help childrens in Uganda to study. I agree with that opinion that we should stop Joseph Kony by making him famous. I have following reasons.
First, if we make Kony famous, and show him that we are going to find him, he will be afraid to kidnap the childrens, and then make them into an army. If he stops getting children, they will be safer. Even though he might not get caught, we can save more lives by making him famous. If he has less childrens for his army, then he will loose power.
Nest, if Kony becomes very famous, then he will loose him partners. Nobody can do something as bad as Joseph Kony all alone. Joseph Kony must have some partners who helps him to kidnap thirty thousand children! if we success at making Joseph Kony famous, and show him that we will going to get him, then his partners willbe afraid to work with Kony, because if one of them gets caught, they will get serious punishments, so they will leave Joseph Kony, and then Kony will loose his power evantually. If he looses power to kidnap or control the young army he made, the children army will try to fight aainst Kony, by having a revellion against Joseph Kony, and because of that, he will loose power.
Also, because it is important to save the children than catching Joseph Kony, so we should make him famous. If we don't make Joseph Kony famous, then he will kidnap more childrens every year, and it will be easier to cath Kony. But, if we not make him famous, then more childrens will suffer because of Joseph Kony, so we must make him famous, to make childrens safer.
Now, I will tell you why not making Kony famous is wrong.
First, if we don't make him famous, he will never going to stop his evil deed. Now, because the video 'Kony 2012' is showed to the world, Joseph Kony is not kidnapping childrens anymore, so now, children in Uganda is safe, but if the video wasn't shown to the world, then the children in Uganda will suffer very much.
Finally, if we do not make him famous, then people will not be able to know about him. If people does not know about Joseph Kony, then they will not try to stop him. In the video 'Kony 2012', the politicians didn't agreed about stopping Joseph Kony by sending the U.S. army when the people didn't know about Joseph Kony, but when lots of people were demanding to send U.S. army to Uganda, the president agreed.
So, I think making Joseph Kony arrested by making him famous is a good idea.
